Hello, and welcome to my user page! My name is Example and I come from Example-Land (a very nice place). English is my native language, I am almost fluent in French, I have a good level in German, but I'm a bit less good at Spanish. I started to learn portuguese but my level is low for the moment. I'd like to speak Russian, but I don't.
I use the Babel template on my user page, to show others which languages I speak. It also allows to find (by clicking on the language's name) other contibutors who speak the same language than me.
How to use the Babel template
You will find below a preview of what the template will display with my settings. To adapt it to your situation, you just have to copy the Babel template's code contained in the "Wiki code" column, and to paste in onto your user page. You will then need to adapt it to the languages you speak.
- Use the ISO 639-2 code of the language you want to display. For English, it is en. For French, it is fr.
- Indicate your skill level in that language by adding it after a hyphen.
-N
means that it is your native language,-5
for a language in which you are fully comfortable,-4
a little less ...-1
means that you have a "beginner" level in this language, and-0
that you don't speak it. - You can delete some languages, or add some by using
